Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Saint Mary's City, Maryland. This full-time role offers the flexibility of working remotely via telehealth, allowing you to provide vital mental health services to clients from the comfort of their own homes while making a significant impact on their wellbeing.

This position is predominantly remote, leveraging telehealth technology to deliver therapy sessions. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and administrative staff, to develop and implement holistic treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each patient. The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an expectation for occasional evening shifts as required to accommodate patient needs.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate clients' psychological well-being and identify suitable treatment modalities.

• Develop personalized treatment plans that reflect the specific diagnoses and circumstances of each patient, ensuring individualized care.

• Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychodynamic therapy to facilitate personal growth and coping strategies during therapy sessions.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions, fostering an inclusive and safe environment for clients to discuss their emotions and experiences.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, streamline communication, and integrate treatment plans.

• Provide crisis intervention support for clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, empowering them with knowledge regarding treatment options and available community resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.

• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and contribute to team cohesion.

• Keep abreast of developments in mental health research, treatment strategies, and legal requirements to ensure consistency with best practices in therapy.

You will engage with a diverse client base that includes individuals from various demographics and backgrounds, primarily managing mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and related conditions. Each session aims not only to address specific mental health concerns, but also to foster resilience and promote overall psychological health, anchoring our commitment to personalized patient care.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist (PsyD) in the state of Maryland is required.

• Strong understanding and knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and trauma-informed approaches.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build therapeutic relationships and establish rapport with clients effectively.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computing applications is mandatory.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team while maintaining professional boundaries is crucial for this role.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, ideally in a mental health counseling setting providing individual and group therapy.

• Experience in crisis intervention and management techniques to ensure effective support during emergencies.
