• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' mental health needs, establishing a foundation for effective treatment.
• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions to address a variety of mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and stress management.
• Conduct couples and family therapy sessions designed to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and enhance relationships within the family unit.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that set achievable goals and outline specific therapeutic interventions.
• Provide crisis intervention support for clients facing urgent mental health situations, ensuring immediate safety and appropriate care.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, equipping them with effective coping strategies and resources available locally and online.
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential client documentation, including assessment reports, treatment plans, and session notes, in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and legal requirements governing practice, ensuring that client confidentiality and informed consent are upheld at all times.

Your role as a counselor will involve working with a diverse range of clients including adolescents, adults, couples, and families, each presenting unique challenges and backgrounds. • A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey.
