With a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 110,000 annually, we are looking for a skilled professional to deliver high-quality mental health care using evidence-based practices.

About the Organization

At Guiding Light Therapy, we prioritize the mental health of our clients by leveraging advanced technology to provide accessible and effective mental health services. Our structured approach utilizes Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles, allowing counselors to engage clients through live video sessions as well as self-guided resources. Our mission is to empower clients in their mental health journey, ensuring effective treatment strategies that lead to sustainable progress.

This position is 100% remote, allowing for a flexible work schedule, including core working hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Our telehealth setting means that you can manage your workload from any location, creating an optimal work-life balance. You will utilize a user-friendly electronic medical records (EMR) system, designed to reduce administrative burdens and streamline documentation and treatment planning, allowing you to focus primarily on client care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients' needs and establish therapeutic goals.
  • Implement evidence-based therapy techniques, primarily utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to assist clients in reaching their identified goals.
  • Provide ongoing support through live video therapy sessions, ensuring engagement and commitment from clients.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions when appropriate, focusing on skill-building and peer support dynamics.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to enhance client care, share insights on therapeutic progress, and manage complex cases.
  • Document all client interactions, therapeutic plans, and progress notes in a timely and accurate manner using our EMR system.
  • Participate in weekly consultation sessions for professional development and case discussion.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Remote Mental Health Counselor, you will work primarily with a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health challenges. The role requires a respectful and adaptive approach to therapy, considering cultural and demographic factors relevant to each client's experiences. You will have the privilege of making significant contributions to the lives of clients seeking support, ensuring they feel seen, heard, and empowered in their journey toward improved mental health.

Qualifications
  • Active independent licensure in Florida as an LMFT, LCMHC, or LCSW.
  • A Master's or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a counseling capacity following independent licensure.
  • A proven track record in utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy techniques is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds and demographics.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital tools, including telehealth platforms and EMR systems, to enhance therapeutic delivery.
Preferred Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in direct clinical practice with a focus on CBT or similar therapeutic methodologies.
  • Experience providing remote counseling services and familiarity with telehealth best practices.
  • A commitment to ongoing education and professional development through workshops, seminars, and acquiring Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
Compensation and Benefits

Guiding Light Therapy offers competitive compensation ranging from USD 100,000 to 110,000 per year, reflective of your skills and experience. In addition to a strong salary, employees benefit from comprehensive health insurance packages, a 401(k) with employer match, paid time off, and continued learning opportunities to foster career development. Our administrative and billing support allows you to concentrate on what matters mostโ€”providing exceptional client care.
