Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and establishing therapeutic rapport with clients to identify goals and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Providing individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities that best suit the needs of your clients.
  • Documenting progress and treatment outcomes using electronic health record (EHR) software, while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Facilitating therapeutic group sessions addressing common issues faced by families and individuals, fostering peer support and community healing.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest therapeutic techniques and trends in mental health.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your client focus will encompass a varied demographic, including children, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. The clinic prioritizes culturally sensitive therapy, making it essential for you to respect and incorporate the unique needs, customs, and values of each client into your therapeutic approach. The diverse client base ensures each day will present new challenges, allowing you to utilize a wide range of therapeutic skills and contribute positively to the lives of those you serve.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Counseling, Marriage and Family Studies or a related field.
  • A valid and active LMFT license without restrictions.
  • Excellent communication skills, complementing your ability to provide bilingual psychotherapy services in both English and Spanish.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health setting.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence and respect for diverse family dynamics and backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, including CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR as well as expertise in areas like trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, grief, and perinatal mental health.
  • A commitment to acting in accordance with all confidentiality laws, including HIPAA regulations.
  • The ability to maintain a strong therapeutic presence, including self-reflection and empathy in client interactions.
  • A willingness to work with insurance panels and effectively manage the associated administrative tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage documentation and scheduling efficiently.
  • A valid Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work at least two evenings per week and one weekend day.
