This role is integral to our mission of empowering individuals and families through professional support and advocacy, as you provide crucial therapeutic services within a detox center setting. Your expertise will play a significant role in addressing the complexities of addiction recovery, mental health challenges, and community reintegration.

About the Organization

At Helping Homes Counseling & Wellness, we are committed to fostering a community that thrives through advocacy, education, and direct support services. We deliver a comprehensive suite of services tailored to meet diverse community needs, including counseling, case management, and education programs. Our collaborative approach engages various stakeholders, including community organizations and government agencies, to address critical social issues effectively.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while still actively contributing to our mission. You will be engaging with clients primarily through telehealth platforms, which requires adaptability and proficiency in utilizing technology for effective counseling. The remote setting provides flexibility in your work schedule while maintaining the standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend hours required for special programming or community outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify and articulate the social, emotional, and psychological needs of clients within the detox center.
  • Provide individualized and group counseling sessions that integrate evidence-based therapeutic techniques, specifically tailored for clients undergoing detoxification and recovery.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive service plans outlining actionable objectives aligned with clients' personal goals and recovery needs.
  • Advocate vigorously for clients' rights, ensuring they have access to vital resources and support while addressing systemic barriers related to addiction and mental health.
  • Engage in program development, evaluation efforts, and grant reporting to secure funding and enhance service delivery.
  • Collaborate with a network of community partners, agencies, and volunteers to enrich the support services available to our clients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, ensuring your practice incorporates trauma-informed care principles and reflects current best practices in the field.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus primarily on individuals and families impacted by substance use disorders in a detox setting. You will support clients navigating the challenges of addiction recovery, fostering an environment that promotes empowerment, resilience, and reintegration into their communities. Your role will require a nuanced understanding of the complexities surrounding addiction, mental health struggles, and socio-economic factors affecting your clients.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed care and social justice principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, characterized by empathy and active listening.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and concurrent tasks.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working within nonprofit organizations, specifically in roles concentrating on addiction treatment and recovery is preferred.
  • Familiarity with community resources, advocacy initiatives, and grant writing would be advantageous.
  • Proficient with telehealth platforms and technology enhancing remote patient engagement.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 70,000 to USD 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We are pleased to offer a sign-on bonus to qualified candidates, further reflecting our commitment to attracting top talent. In addition to competitive pay, our benefits package includes:

  • Comprehensive health insurance encompassing medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Retirement plans with employer contributions to ensure your long-term financial security.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation days and personal days to recharge and rejuvenate.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities aimed at fostering your growth within the nonprofit sector.
  • Insurance options to support your health and well-being.

As a member of our team, you will have access to various training programs, workshops, and educational resources that promote career advancement and skill enhancement. We encourage our employees to pursue leadership roles and provide pathways for personal and professional growth.
