This position allows for a remote work setting, enabling therapists to engage with clients from the comfort of their own homes while maintaining a connection with our outpatient office as necessary. While most of your responsibilities can be performed remotely, you will also have the flexibility to utilize state-of-the-art facilities at our office when needed. The role involves occasional evening hours to accommodate client scheduling, allowing for increased access to outpatient services.

• Conduct in-depth assessments of patients’ mental health needs, utilizing standardized screening tools to formulate personalized treatment plans.
• Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention services to individuals experiencing a variety of mental health challenges.
• Facilitate therapy groups or workshops focused on mental wellness topics, such as stress management, grief, and interpersonal skills development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, nursing staff, and community organizations, to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
• Initiate and participate in outreach programs that promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma within the community.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of patient interactions in compliance with ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations.

At Better Together Counseling Services, you will work primarily with hospital patients and their families who require support for a range of mental health issues. These may include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Our clientele is diverse, encompassing various ages and backgrounds, necessitating culturally competent care and sensitivity to each individual’s unique experience.

• Possession of an active, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health issues commonly encountered in hospital settings and a commitment to providing high-quality client care.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic practices and brief intervention methodologies specifically suitable for a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Previous experience in an outpatient mental health counseling setting, particularly within a hospital or clinical environment.
• Experience with group therapy facilitation and workshop presentations, demonstrating the ability to engage and motivate participants.
• Involvement in mental health outreach initiatives or community health programs that emphasize preventive care and public education.
