Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Engage with clients in both couple and individual therapy sessions, facilitating discussions that promote healing and empowerment.
  • Develop and implement client-specific treatment plans that address issues such as alcohol and substance abuse, psychological trauma, grief, familial conflicts, and adjustment to life changes like separation and divorce.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' backgrounds and current life situations, ensuring tailored therapeutic approaches.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and therapies to enhance the overall wellbeing of your clients and their families.
  • Provide psychoeducation to families, helping them to understand complex dynamics and how to improve communication.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including adults and children/adolescents. Your focus will be on various familial issues: from blended family adjustments and communication difficulties to addressing job-related stress and conflict resolution among family members. This wide array of issues requires a nuanced understanding of different relational contexts.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are essential for this position:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
  • Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
