This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from home or location of record within the U.S. with no in-office requirements. You must be available five days per week during designated work hours.? The work arrangement for this role is subject to change based on business needs and individual performance. Position Overview
This role is instrumental in shaping and scaling our tax product solution. This role involves being the key liaison between Tax Operations, Product & Tech, and internal/external customers, being an important contributor to product development, and improving the user experience.
They possess a basic understanding of payroll tax fundamentals, exceptional organizational skills, the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and demonstrate influence in driving decisions and initiatives within the role. They are also comfortable leveraging modern tools and technologies to enhance documentation, knowledge sharing, and efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze current processes and help define the future state for tax product technology.
  • Influence product vision, strategy, and roadmap feature research.
  • Drive continuous improvement and contribute to tax product development and processes.
  • Act as primary liaison to the product team for feature requests and communicating the development roadmap back to the tax operations team.
  • Provide clarity and insight on user experience and use cases.
  • Participate in transition and training for new software releases.
  • Engage in troubleshooting, identify actionable steps for resolution, and participate in user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with data extraction, transformation, and manipulation for analytics.
  • Support presentations and data visualizations to showcase findings.
  • Ensure AI-assisted generated outputs are accurate, complete, and in line with our business needs, compliance standards, and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and training materials for Tax Operations.

Education and Experience
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, either within the HCM industry or in a similar analyst role
  • Demonstrated process improvement and research capabilities
  • Ability to illustrate key features/roadmap criteria for partners
  • Demonstrated experience with cross-functional collaboration
  • 1+ year in a tax environment preferred
  • Holistic perspective to understand tasks through multiple lenses of clients, internal stakeholders, and tax agencies.
  • Experience creating SOPs, process documentation, or training materials.
  • Proficient in utilizing approved productivity tools, including AI-assisted solutions, to enhance efficiency and improve the quality of documentation.
  • Capable of critically assessing tool-generated outputs and exercising sound judgment regarding accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate use.
  • Self-directed and self-motivated mindset with a thirst for knowledge.
  • Proficiency in gathering and analyzing data.
  • Exceptional organization,follow-up, and documentation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to challenges.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong mathematical proficiency.

Physical requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
  • Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.

The pay range for this position is $50,100-$80,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
