• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations during initial consultations, documenting clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional conditions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate appropriate interventions for clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to promote healing and growth.
• Monitor client progress within treatment plans and adjust as necessary to encourage optimal recovery.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals such as psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and pediatricians to develop holistic intervention strategies.
• Conduct follow-up communications with healthcare providers for clients admitted to hospitals, ensuring continuity of care.
• Identify and provide strategies to mitigate detrimental behaviors that hinder recovery, supporting clients in their personal challenges.
• Offer guidance to family members and caregivers on managing mental and behavioral health issues effectively.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C license in the state of Maryland.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor with a strong foundation in clinical practices.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR.
• Understanding of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
• Knowledge of current best practices in mental health counseling as established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on interpersonal relationships.

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in community mental health settings.
• Exposure to integrated healthcare models that emphasize collaboration among professionals.
• Previous experience offering remote counseling services is a plus.

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, reflecting the candidate's experience and qualifications.
