Position Overview

New Dawn Wellness, LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team on a full-time basis. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while providing vital outpatient behavioral health services to individuals and families. With a competitive annual salary range of USD 120,000 to 130,000, this position is designed for professionals committed to fostering mental health recovery and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine individual client needs.

  • Provide support and guidance to families, particularly those seeking to enhance their childโ€™s mental health.

  • Educate families on techniques and strategies to support their child's developmental journey.
  • Utilize coaching methods and natural environment teaching techniques to maximize client engagement and learning.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse population of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults. This role requires sensitivity to the unique health needs and cultural backgrounds of our clients, ensuring that treatment is both personalized and effective. Your ability to adapt interventions to fit the individual and family dynamics will be crucial in promoting long-lasting recovery and well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Current licensure as either an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in mental health counseling.
  • Current Associate or Licensed status with the Board of Behavioral Sciences, or in progress.
  • Exceptional organizational skills to effectively manage documentation and billing processes.
  • Strong self-motivation with the capability to take initiative and manage time efficiently in a remote work setup.
Preferred Experience

While the above qualifications are required, additional experience in specific therapeutic modalities such as trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), or family systems therapy would be advantageous. Familiarity with electronic health record systems and previous experience in outpatient settings are also preferred.
