Position Overview

Core Healing Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This position entails delivering high-quality therapy and counseling services to individuals facing mental health challenges, utilizing our telehealth platform to connect with patients from the comfort of their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments through virtual consultations to identify the needs and goals of each patient, enabling tailored treatment planning.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy sessions individually, addressing conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health issues.
  • Design and facilitate online therapy groups focusing on various topics like stress management, coping strategies, and interpersonal skills to benefit patient well-being.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and community social workers, to develop an integrated approach to patient care.
  • Engage in prevention and outreach initiatives, including virtual workshops, to promote mental health awareness and provide resources to the community.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records aligned with legal and ethical standards, ensuring continuity of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse and dynamic client base, including individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds, age groups, and mental health histories. Our counseling services cater to those managing chronic mental health conditions, acute crises, and those seeking personal development. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their journeys to better mental health and improved overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Current active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, with a Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with mental health treatments and therapeutic modalities relevant to the unique challenges faced by telehealth clients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport and trust with clients and collaborate effectively within a virtual team.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and adaptabilty in a remote setting with technological proficiency.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct counseling experience in mental health settings, particularly with telehealth services.
  • Experience working in a hospital or urgent care environment is a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of telehealth platforms and electronic health record software.
