Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations to formulate personalized treatment plans based on clients’ needs and goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Engage in collaborative care, working closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support for clients. This includes regular team meetings to discuss case management and treatment approaches.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with ethical standards and legal regulations, ensuring a seamless transition of care and outcome tracking.
• Stay updated on current research and best practices by participating in workshops and professional development opportunities, thereby enriching your clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse clientele, including individuals managing trauma, substance abuse issues, family dynamics, and relational challenges. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. A Master’s or Doctoral degree is preferred.
• An active and unrestricted Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services, preferably in a clinical or outpatient setting.
• Strong knowledge of counseling ethics, legal guidelines, and therapeutic practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with specific populations such as those dealing with trauma or substance abuse.
• A background in family therapy or couples counseling will be beneficial.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and other relevant software for efficient documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, reflecting your caseload and level of experience.
