As a Remote Mental Health Counselor at Thrive Counseling and Therapy Services, you will work from the comfort of your own home while being part of a collaborative team. • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental health and substance abuse needs before, during, and after therapy sessions to ensure appropriate levels of care.
• Perform thorough prior authorization reviews in alignment with regulatory guidelines to confirm the medical appropriateness of suggested treatments.
• Collaborate with medical directors and other leadership members to enhance the quality and efficiency of mental health interventions.
• Prepare and present case studies during staffing and integrated rounds to contribute to team discussions on treatment strategies.
• Stay up to date with industry standards while adhering to all organizational policies and procedures.
• Engage in continuous professional development to remain current with best practices in mental health counseling.

In this role, you will be serving a diverse clientele, encompassing individuals from various backgrounds experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your empathetic approach and cultural competence will be vital in crafting individualized treatment plans that resonate with each client's unique circumstances and goals.

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required for this position.
• At least two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably involving direct client interaction.
• Current licensure to practice in the state of Washington as a mental health professional is necessary.
• Strong familiarity with utilization review processes related to mental health and substance abuse treatments is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective engagement with clients and team members.

• Direct experience in assessing and reviewing treatment plans for mental health and substance abuse.
• Background working collaboratively with healthcare providers and teams to evaluate care services.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
