Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to determine the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms, collecting detailed histories and utilizing standardized evaluation tools.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, informed by their specific circumstances, preferences, and goals.
• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders effectively.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders and the benefits of various treatment options, empowering them with self-care strategies and coping mechanisms.
• Monitor and evaluate clients' progress consistently, adjusting treatment approaches as needed to enhance their well-being.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other allied health professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring that all aspects of a client's health are considered in treatment.
• Stay current with research and advancements in mental health treatment, continually adapting your methodology to include the latest insights and practices.
• Maintain meticulous, confidential client records in compliance with legal regulations and ethical guidelines, ensuring a comprehensive history of client interactions and treatment plans.
• Participate actively in team meetings and professional development sessions to refine clinical skills and share insights with colleagues.
• Advocate for clients within the wider medical community to reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues and promote access to necessary resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will engage with a diverse clientele, primarily focusing on individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. You will work with clients from various cultural backgrounds, adapting your approach to meet their individual needs and preferences. This role is integral in helping clients navigate their mental health journeys, offering support that acknowledges their unique experiences.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
• In-depth knowledge of evidence-based treatment methods for mood disorders with demonstrated expertise in CBT and DBT.
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology, with the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists for a well-rounded treatment approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working with telehealth platforms and providing remote counseling services.
• Documented success in creating and implementing effective treatment plans for clients with mood disorders.
• Experience in conducting therapy sessions that effectively incorporate client feedback and adaptability to changing treatment needs.

Compensation and Benefits
