The High Value Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate client needs, challenges, and therapeutic goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that reflect the client's goals and therapeutic needs, utilizing evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Provide clients and their families with education and support surrounding mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
  • Monitor client progress through regular check-ins and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure alignment with client goals.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, medical specialists, and colleagues to deliver integrated, comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mood disorder research and trends to inform therapy strategies and better meet client needs.
  • Document all client interactions and maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work to combat stigma surrounding mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is working with clients navigating relationship challenges, including those stemming from divorce or significant life transitions. You'll have the opportunity to engage with diverse client backgrounds, helping them build resilience and improve their interpersonal dynamics. Our approach emphasizes holistic healing, engaging clients to understand their unique narratives and how they impact their current situations.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid California state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or closely related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cultivate a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and a nonjudgmental approach towards client issues.
  • Strong organizational skills and adept time management abilities to handle caseloads effectively.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in specific therapeutic modalities such as structural family therapy, narrative therapy, and communication therapy is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully working with clients experiencing mood disorders or related challenges.
  • Experience in integrated care settings working collaboratively with other healthcare providers.
