Position Overview

The Brien Center for Psychological Matters is seeking a dedicated and licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Social Work Manager, evaluating and diagnosing a wide range of psychosocial issues, and employing individual clinical social work skills to support patients and their families in overcoming personal and environmental challenges.
• Adhere to the social work professional standards of practice, grounded in the NASW Code of Ethics, while consistently applying our corporate values of respect, honesty, and fairness.
• Conduct thorough bio-psychosocial evaluations to identify barriers to treatment, enhance patient health status, and optimize the use of healthcare resources.
• Consult with medical and support staff about the patient’s psychosocial background to facilitate comprehensive care planning that improves treatment adherence and satisfaction.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that utilize both individual and group therapy modalities, continually assessing and adapting strategies to ensure optimal patient progress.
• Document interactions and social work activities in patients' medical records in line with departmental standards, ensuring a comprehensive account of care provided.
• Educate patients and families on the importance of following medical and social work recommendations, aiming to restore patients to their optimal functioning.
• Assess advocacy needs and coordinate community resources, empowering clients toward self-determination and improving their social support systems.
• Compile case-related statistics and reports to support departmental initiatives and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on community resources relevant to clinical assignments, ensuring patients are connected to necessary services.
• Engage in continuing education and training to enhance professional expertise and remain compliant with all regulations and standards.
• Utilize analytical skills to evaluate patient outcomes, adapting therapeutic approaches as necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LCSW, you will primarily serve diverse populations within the Arlington community, with a focus on individuals who present with a variety of mental health issues. These may include anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and other psychosocial challenges. Your role will emphasize culturally competent care, recognizing the unique needs of various demographic groups and ensuring that services are accessible and effective.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and a current LCSW license from the State Board of Social Work Licensure.
• Proven ability to provide clinical care, with foundational knowledge of aging processes, human development stages, and cultural patterns.
• Minimum of six months to one year of clinical experience, preferably in a health or mental health setting.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with specific populations relevant to our focus areas is preferred, along with training or familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
