Job description

Join a well-funded startup building a next-generation regulatory track-and-trace platform for highly regulated supply chains. Our founders previously developed a market-leading compliance solution and are now creating the next evolution of that technology.

We're seeking an experienced Federal Proposal Manager to own the proposal process from the point a draft is complete through final submission, award, and post-submission follow-up. This remote-based role offers an exciting opportunity to build and improve the proposal management function while working alongside an experienced leadership team in a fast-growing company.

Please note: This position requires hands-on experience managing federal government proposals. Candidates without direct federal proposal experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete federal proposal lifecycle from draft through submission, award, and follow-up.
  • Build compliance matrices from federal solicitations and ensure all requirements are addressed.
  • Coordinate proposal schedules, milestones, deadlines, and cross-functional contributors.
  • Manage proposal production, formatting, document control, versioning, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate the financial and budget components required for federal proposals.
  • Submit proposals through federal government portals and agency-specific systems.
  • Track proposal status through award, debrief, and post-submission activities.
  • Maintain proposal libraries, reusable content, and pipeline documentation.
  • Support multiple concurrent RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, SBIR/STTR submissions, and other federal opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience managing or coordinating federal government proposals is required.
  • Direct experience submitting proposals through federal government portals.
  • Strong understanding of the federal proposal process, FAR-based solicitations, compliance requirements, and proposal documentation required.
  • Experience coordinating proposal budgets, pricing, and financial requirements for federal proposals.
  • Experience creating compliance matrices from federal solicitations.
  • Excellent editing, proofreading, document production, and quality-control skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple proposal deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience with Shipley methodology, Responsive (RFPIO), or similar proposal management tools is a plus.
  • SBIR/STTR experience is highly desirable.

Why Join Us?

  • Remote position
  • Opportunity to build and improve the proposal management function
  • Work directly with experienced founders and executive leadership
  • High-impact role with significant visibility across the organization
  • Exceptional opportunity for career growth and advancement as the company expands its federal business
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
