What is the highest paying dental assistant job?

The highest paying dental assistant roles typically include specialized positions such as orthodontic or oral surgery assistants, often requiring additional certifications and experience. Salaries can also be higher in private practices or for those with advanced skills in dental technology or sedation assistance. Overall, earning potential increases with specialization, experience, and working in high-demand or affluent areas.

Can you be a remote dental assistant?

A full-time remote dental assistant role is uncommon because dental assisting typically requires in-person tasks such as patient care, chairside assistance, and clinical procedures. However, some administrative or telehealth support roles related to dentistry can be performed remotely, often involving scheduling, billing, or patient communication. Certification and familiarity with dental software are usually necessary for these remote positions.

Why do people quit dental assisting?

People often quit dental assisting due to factors such as high stress levels, physically demanding work, limited advancement opportunities, or dissatisfaction with pay and scheduling. Job burnout and the repetitive nature of tasks can also contribute to turnover in this role.

How to make 6 figures as a dental assistant?

Achieving a six-figure income as a full-time remote dental assistant typically requires gaining advanced certifications, specialized skills, and experience in high-demand areas such as sedation or orthodontics. Increasing your hourly rate, working for multiple practices, or taking on supervisory roles can also boost earnings, but reaching six figures may be challenging without additional qualifications or transitioning into related roles like office management or dental consulting.

Job description

Location: Remote (Based in the U.S. — Brooklyn, NY HQ)
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base Salary + High-Earning Commission Structure

About Us:
Bensonhurst Dental is a nationally recognized cosmetic and implant dental practice based in Brooklyn, New York. Led by celebrity-trusted Dr. Rubinshtein, we specialize in advanced smile transformations, same-day smile makeovers, and premium patient care. Our team is known for combining clinical excellence with luxury-level service — and we’re growing fast.
We’re currently seeking a Remote Dental Treatment Closer to help qualified leads move forward with life-changing dental procedures. If you have experience in high-trust sales and are motivated by helping others improve their health and confidence, this could be your next big opportunity.
About the Role:
As a Remote Dental Treatment Closer, you’ll work with warm leads — individuals who have already inquired about treatment — and guide them through the consultation and decision-making process. Your role is to understand their goals, explain treatment options clearly, and confidently close the sale.
This is a consultative role that requires emotional intelligence, product knowledge, and the ability to build trust quickly — all from a remote setting.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct virtual consultations with prospective patients for treatments including same-day smiles, dental implants, and cosmetic procedures.
  • Present personalized treatment plans and clearly communicate associated costs, timelines, and expected outcomes.
  • Handle patient concerns and objections with empathy and professionalism.
  • Follow up with undecided leads and help guide them toward scheduling treatment.
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless transition to care.
  • Maintain detailed records in our CRM and meet/exceed monthly performance goals.
  • Stay current with Bensonhurst Dental’s treatment offerings and technology.
What We’re Looking For:
  • 2+ years of experience in dental sales, treatment coordination, or healthcare consultations.
  • In-depth knowledge of cosmetic, implant, or restorative dentistry strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to close high-ticket treatment plans in a remote or virtual setting.
  • Comfortable using CRM software, video platforms (Zoom, etc.), and digital tools.
  • Excellent communication skills with a consultative, compassionate approach.
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through and results orientation.
What We Offer:
  • Base salary + uncapped commission (high earning potential for top performers).
  • Fully remote position with flexible scheduling.
  • Supportive team environment with regular training and mentorship.
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives through smile transformation.
  • Career growth within a nationally recognized dental brand.
To Apply:
Submit your resume and a brief cover letter or intro message explaining why you're the perfect fit for this role. We’re looking for someone who can inspire confidence, close effectively, and represent our brand with integrity.
