As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that will enhance the lives of your patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the psychological needs of patients, considering their unique medical histories.
• Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans that incorporate both mental and physical health strategies.
• Facilitating individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each participant's specific circumstances.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary medical teams to coordinate care, ensuring seamless communication about treatment objectives and outcomes.
• Providing crisis intervention for patients in acute distress, utilizing de-escalation strategies to ensure safety and support.
• Educating patients and families about the relationship between mental health and physical wellbeing, which empowers them to engage more deeply in their treatment.
• Maintaining meticulous and confidential records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
• Engaging actively in team meetings and case discussions to contribute insights and strategies for improving patient care.
• Staying informed of the latest developments in mental health best practices and integrated care models through ongoing professional development.

Your primary focus will be on individuals with co-occurring medical conditions, such as chronic pain and substance use disorders. By understanding the complex interplay between mental health and physical illnesses, you will help guide these patients towards achieving overall wellness.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Additionally, you will need:

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Washington State.
• Proven experience addressing the mental health needs of patients with complex medical conditions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating positive therapeutic relationships.
• Strong ethical standards along with the ability to uphold confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health records and various digital health-related applications.
• A demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

While a graduate degree and licensure are required, experience in integrated care settings, familiarity with trauma-informed care practices, and background in working with diverse populations are highly preferred.

This position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a rewarding salary, our benefits package includes:
