Job description

About Inspira Education

Inspira Education Group is one of the fastest-growing edtech startups in the US. We started with a simple mission to democratize access to high-quality coaching so that every student in the world has an equal opportunity to access the best opportunities.

As the world's leading network of top admissions coaches in medical, legal, business, and college studies, we're building software and services in one place—disrupting long-entrenched application processes with products and experiences that strive to provide an equal platform for candidates from diverse backgrounds worldwide.

As one of the fastest-growing edtech firms in the world, we are backed by some of the leading venture capital firms and investors in the world, including Zeev Ventures, Quiet Capital, Craft Ventures and Jeff Fluhr (Founder of Stubhub).

The Role

We are looking for a full-time Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) Tutor who is passionate about education and driven to help students succeed in MCAT test preparation and medical school admissions. If you love mentoring, test prep, and empowering others, this is the role for you.

You'll work one-on-one with students, create personalized MCAT study plans, and provide expert guidance to help them excel on every section of the MCAT exam.

This is a full-time, remote role that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada, with 40 hours per week of tutoring scheduled around student availability—expect weekday evenings and weekends rather than a standard 9am–5pm block.

Responsibilities

  • Tutor students one-on-one on all sections of the MCAT exam, 40 hours per week
  • Tailor an MCAT test prep curriculum to students' needs
  • Track and analyze student progress and performance
  • Create and maintain project trackers to monitor MCAT preparation progress
  • Keep students' families up to date on academic progress and MCAT milestones
  • Be passionate about education and an expert MCAT tutor and thought leader for your students
  • Take on additional income opportunities as they arise, such as leading webinars or training other tutors

Qualifications

  • Have a 4-year college degree (Bachelor's Degree or higher is required)
  • Able to tutor during after-school hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends— 40 hours per week
  • Have previously taken the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) (copy of official score report required)
  • A baseline MCAT score of 521+
  • 2+ years of previous teaching or tutoring experience
  • Able to provide MCAT test preparation for the full exam and each section
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
  • Comfortable teaching and coaching in a fully remote tutoring environment
Why you'll love Inspira
  • Amazing people with a great vision and values
  • Mission-driven team culture focused on student success
  • Your work directly impacts the lives and careers of students across the globe
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance, base plans 100% employer paid
  • Pre-tax benefits (FSA, DCFSA, HSA, Commuter)
  • Flexible paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays
  • 401(k) with company match

Compensation

  • Total compensation: $60,000–$70,000/year
  • Additional income opportunities
