Position Overview

Wise Mind Psychotherapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote team. This full-time position allows you to deliver essential mental health services from the comfort of your home, enabling us to broaden our reach and impact in the Chicago, Illinois area. You will be responsible for engaging with clients, conducting assessments, and implementing tailored treatment plans that improve their emotional and psychological well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status and emotional needs.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans that are responsive to the unique goals and challenges of each client.
  • Administer evidence-based interventions, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to support clients.
  • Monitor client progress over time, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing acute distress.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate regularly with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure comprehensive and cohesive care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, participating in supervision, workshops, and training to stay current with the latest mental health research and practices.
  • Adhere to all ethical guidelines as set forth by relevant licensing boards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Wise Mind Psychotherapy Services, you will be working with a diverse population of clients, ranging from adolescents to adults. Our clients seek help for various mental health issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions. You will utilize your clinical expertise to create a safe and trustworthy environment where clients can openly discuss their concerns and work towards achieving their treatment goals.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • Holds current state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW).
  • Demonstrates strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building rapport with clients.
  • Exhibits empathy, compassion, and a firm commitment to supporting clients' psychological health.
  • Able to work independently while being an active contributor to a cohesive team environment.
  • Familiarity with ethical guidelines regarding mental health care.
  • A commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a direct mental health care setting.
