Summit Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) for a full-time position. • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored treatment plans for clients in alignment with their unique needs.
• Engage clients in regular therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to support their mental health goals.
• Complete all required documentation thoroughly and on schedule to comply with regulatory requirements.
• Utilize standardized assessment and screening tools as guided by the clinical team to inform treatment approaches.
• Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to create and implement effective positive behavior support plans.
• Participate actively in licensing and accreditation processes, demonstrating commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
• Serve as a key liaison with state agencies, service systems, and community partners, ensuring effective integration of services.
• Communicate openly and effectively within the organization and with external stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
• Develop and nurture relationships with local and state entities to identify partnership opportunities and secure funding sources.
• Engage in continued professional development through training, conferences, and participation in relevant committees.
• Promote the core mission and values of Summit Counseling Center throughout the community, acting as an advocate for client needs.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned by the Clinic Director to ensure comprehensive client care.

This role will involve supporting a diverse patient population, including individuals seeking therapy for emotional distress, substance use disorders, and those facing challenges related to developmental disabilities and acquired brain injuries. Counselors will work to provide culturally competent care, adapting approaches to meet the varied needs of clients from different backgrounds.

• A Master’s Degree in a behavioral health field is essential.
• An Independent LMHC License issued by the state board is required.
• Proficiency in maintaining clinical records and developing comprehensive reports based on assessment findings.
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team framework.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for engaging clients and professional colleagues alike.
• Sound judgment and the capacity to make independent, professional decisions based on clinical knowledge and experience.

• Experience working in outpatient mental health settings, particularly with clients facing substance use and dual-diagnosis challenges.
