Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews with clients to assess their mental, emotional, and behavioral health, meticulously documenting findings from the initial consultation through treatment conclusion.
• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment and intervention plans tailored to a variety of individuals, including couples and families, ensuring alignment with best practices and therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing creative therapeutic exercises that foster a safe environment for expression and healing.
• Maintain ongoing monitoring and evaluation of clients' progress throughout treatment, adapting strategies as needed to enhance recovery outcomes.
• Engage in proactive collaboration with fellow healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, and social workers to optimize client care and intervention strategies.
• Provide critical follow-ups with external healthcare providers for clients transitioning from hospitalizations and manage referrals seamlessly.
• Educate family members and primary caregivers on mental health challenges, offering them tools and strategies to effectively support loved ones.
• Utilize electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to streamline documentation and ensure accurate treatment records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors address a wide variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. We support individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups, tailoring our approaches to meet the unique needs of each client. Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• A current and valid state licensure as LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW is necessary to practice.
• Evidence of passing scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor is essential.
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly with tools like AVATAR, will enhance documentation efficiency.
• Familiarity with the latest best practices and ethical standards established by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with clients who have chronic health conditions, emotional distress, or specific addictions is advantageous.
• A deep understanding of various therapeutic methodologies and evidence-based practices enhances the applicant’s profile.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medication effects prescribed by healthcare specialists is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range for this position is competitive, aligning between $80,000 – $100,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus as an added incentive.
