Work Environment

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to child and family services, including coordinate care with a local detox center, enhancing the holistic treatment approach for clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments for children enrolled in early intervention programs to determine their needs and develop tailored Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
• Active participation in IFSP development and implementation, collaborating with families and other professionals to facilitate appropriate interventions.
• Monitor and evaluate individual outcomes for children, adjusting plans as necessary based on progress and family feedback.
• Provide crucial support to families by equipping them with skills and resources to encourage their child's development through evidence-based practices.
• Develop and implement strategies that align with Natural Learning Environment Practices, ensuring support is reflective of children's individual learning styles.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training to maintain knowledge of best practices in early intervention and child development.
• Communicate effectively with families and team members, establishing trusting relationships that foster an environment conducive to learning and growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on supporting children aged birth to three years, who are experiencing developmental delays and disabilities. Your work will bring you into the lives of families, guiding them through challenges and celebrating milestones in their child's growth. You will be instrumental in helping families understand their child's unique needs, providing them with the tools necessary to navigate these challenges effectively.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Social Work or a Doctorate in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current LCSW licensure issued by the Department of Public Health.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel within the designated region as needed.
• A commitment to adapting interventions to meet diverse learning styles and family dynamics.
• A strong understanding of and commitment to following Natural Learning Environment Practices.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases effectively while adhering to deadlines.
• Proficient communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to build rapport with families, children, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year experience working specifically with children in early intervention settings is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
