Conversational AI / Chatbot Developer

Diverse Agile Solutions, LLC (DAS) is seeking an experienced Conversational AI / Chatbot Developer to support an enterprise client and help design, develop, integrate, and optimize next-generation conversational AI experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity for a developer who enjoys working at the intersection of traditional conversational AI, Generative AI, and autonomous AI agents. The ideal candidate will have strong Microsoft Azure conversational technology experience and be comfortable integrating AI solutions with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce and PeopleSoft.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise chatbots, virtual assistants, and AI agents.
  • Develop and maintain conversational applications using Azure Bot Framework SDK v4.
  • Build conversational workflows using Waterfall Dialogs, custom middleware, and state management.
  • Help modernize existing chatbot capabilities using Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Agents 365 / Microsoft 365 Agents SDK technologies.
  • Integrate conversational applications with enterprise systems using MuleSoft, REST APIs, Salesforce, and PeopleSoft.
  • Develop Salesforce Live Chat and Case Management integrations for human-agent escalation and automated case routing.
  • Build rich conversational experiences using Adaptive Cards across web, mobile, and messaging channels.
  • Integrate Azure Conversational Language Understanding (CLU) with Azure OpenAI/GPT to support intent recognition, routing, fallback handling, and contextual responses.
  • Develop and optimize RAG and LLM-based solutions.
  • Monitor conversation logs, intent accuracy, containment rates, and other performance metrics to continuously improve the user experience.
  • Use tools such as Azure Application Insights and Power BI to analyze conversational performance.
  • Work with Product Managers, UX Designers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective conversational experiences.
  • Participate in Agile development, testing, code reviews, and CI/CD activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of software development experience with a focus on Conversational AI, NLP/NLU, chatbots, or LLM/AI agent development.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Bot Framework SDK v4.
  • Experience with Waterfall Dialogs, custom middleware, and conversation state management.
  • Strong programming experience with C# and .NET.
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI and/or Generative AI technologies.
  • Experience with Azure CLU or other NLU technologies.
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications through REST APIs and/or MuleSoft.
  • Experience with Salesforce and/or PeopleSoft integrations.
  • Strong understanding of conversational design, APIs, enterprise integration, and cloud-based application development.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
