As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the AWS Healthcare AI team, you'll spearhead the complete technical lifecycle, from system design, to implementing robust distributed systems, and developing AI-powered healthcare solutions. You'll be working on transformative products that leverage generative and agentic AI to enhance clinical and administrative workflows for healthcare providers. Your work will directly contribute to improving patient care, enhancing operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional value to our customers.
Key job responsibilities
Drive the full software development lifecycle, establishing technical strategy and best practices from conception through delivery and maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, applied scientists, other engineers, and cross-functional teams to shape product vision, define technical roadmaps, make critical architectural decisions that align with business objectives, and execute on our product roadmap.
Translate user stories into software designs demonstrating sensible trade-offs between complexity and delivery.
Drive innovation in solving complex healthcare challenges using advanced technologies.
Maintain operational excellence and compliance with healthcare industry standards.
Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in the rapidly evolving field of healthcare AI
Provide technical mentorship, grow team capabilities, and foster a culture of engineering excellence through code reviews, architecture reviews, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
We are looking for candidates with strong engineering principles, resourcefulness, a bias for action, superior problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills
