Position Overview

Harmonius Mental Health Services is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW) to join our dynamic team in Reno, Nevada. This full-time remote position focuses on delivering exceptional mental health services while promoting patient well-being. Counselors play a crucial role in our outpatient office, providing high-quality care to individuals, couples, and families navigating a variety of mental health challenges.

Work Environment

Working remotely, our counselors have the benefit of flexibility while remaining integral to our outpatient office's mission. We operate Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on the needs of our patients. This remote setup allows our counselors to maintain a healthy work-life balance while still providing high-quality care to those we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of patients and formulate individualized treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused approaches to treat individuals, couples, and families.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups that foster connection and address shared mental health concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Provide crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, guiding patients through acute distress with empathy and professionalism.
  • Educate patients about their mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and strategies for utilizing community resources effectively.
  • Document patient interactions accurately and maintain confidentiality in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development sessions to enhance knowledge and practice standards.
  • Stay updated on current research and advancements in mental health therapy to continually improve service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes children, adolescents, and adults facing mental health challenges. Our clients often encounter various issues, requiring sensitivity and adaptability in your therapeutic approach. You will help clients from different backgrounds who may experience cultural stigmas regarding mental health, allowing you to play a vital role in changing perceptions and improving lives.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and unencumbered license in the state of Nevada as a mental health therapist (LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW).
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and the ability to deliver evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for patients and team members.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate clear and compassionate interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct counseling experience in an outpatient setting.
  • Proven expertise in conducting group therapy and psychoeducational sessions.
  • Experience in collaborations with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic treatment.
