National Electrical Engineering Consultants (NEEC) provides full-service engineering and field support for utilities and renewable developers across the United States. Our core expertise includes Protection & Control (P&C) Substations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Solar, and Renewable Energy Integration. NEEC’s commissioning team ensures that every system operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with the highest industry standards.

About the Role

The Protection & Control (P&C) Engineer supports the engineering, design, and implementation of protection and control systems across NEEC’s substation and renewable energy projects. This position is responsible for developing technical drawings, relay settings, and control logic to ensure reliable system performance and compliance with client and industry standards. The P&C Engineer works closely with senior engineers, project managers, and field personnel to deliver fully coordinated, cost-effective, and safe solutions tailored to the operational requirements of each project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and review P&C drawings, including schematics, wiring, and logic diagrams.
  • Perform relay coordination and settings calculations.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and field troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate designs.
  • Ensure compliance with standards such as IEEE, NESC, and client specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 3–5 years of P&C design or field engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with relay software and test equipment.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
