Job description

Children’s Medical Center is a busy pediatric practice proudly serving our community for over 30 years, with four locations. We are seeking a full-time Receptionist to join our Patient-Centered Medical Home team. This role provides administrative support to patients, families, and care team members to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient care. Evening and weekend shifts are required on a rotating basis.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer and route calls; schedule and confirm appointments.
  • Greet and check in patients; maintain accurate demographic, insurance, and pharmacy information.
  • Verify insurance, collect copays/balances, and assist with basic billing inquiries.
  • Scan and manage patient documentation in the EHR.
  • Coordinate interpreter services and address patient communication needs.
  • Monitor reception area, communicate delays, and maintain a welcoming environment.
  • Process medical record requests, forms, and daily reports/deposits.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality, safety, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:
  •  Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  •  Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  •  Proficient in computer systems, phone operations, and documentation. 
  •  Knowledge of insurance, eligibility, and medical terminology preferred.
