To thrive as a Full Time Registered Dental Assistant, you need a solid background in dental procedures, infection control, and patient care, usually supported by completion of an accredited dental assisting program and current RDA certification. Familiarity with dental software, digital x-rays, and sterilization equipment is typically required. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team setting are valuable soft skills. These competencies ensure safe, effective dental care and a positive patient experience in a busy dental practice.

As a Full Time RDA, you may often encounter challenges such as managing a fast-paced schedule, assisting multiple dentists, and balancing administrative duties with patient care.
