Talgo Inc. refurbishes passenger railcars for LA MetroLink at our Milwaukee facility, focusing on high quality mechanical and structural work to extend the service life of the railcars for another 30 years.
We’re looking for an Inventory Control Specialist (Logistics Technician) to help keep our operations running smoothly. This role blends hands-on warehouse work with inventory management and system tracking to ensure materials are accurate, available, and moving efficiently through the facility.

What You'll Do:

  • Support the storage, movement, and shipping of materials throughout the facility
  • Ensure accurate inventory tracking through system transactions, cycle counts, and inventory checks
  • Perform hands-on warehouse tasks including picking, packing, staging, and material delivery to production areas
  • Monitor material flow and maintain inventory levels to meet operational and production needs
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to maintain accuracy and efficiency
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company procedures and safety standards

What We're Looking For:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of inventory control, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or supply chain experience in an industrial setting
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Forklift experience and ability to operate warehouse equipment
  • Valid Driver License required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Manufacturing, production, or distribution environment experience
  • Experience with inventory reconciliation and cycle counting
  • Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs), shipping documents, and warehouse transactions
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Ability to stand, walk bend, and lift throughout the workday
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
