Electronics Packaging Engineer

Job Title: Electronics Packaging Engineer
Location: Wall Township, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $110K - $150K USD (depending on experience)

Overview:
We are seeking an Electronics Packaging Engineer to support the design and development of advanced electronic and semiconductor packaging solutions. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical expertise, project ownership, and direct customer interaction. The ideal candidate brings a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, thrives in a small company environment, and has a proven ability to solve complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electronic and semiconductor packaging solutions from concept through production
  • Manage projects, timelines, and deliverables across cross-functional teams
  • Work directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions
  • Support PCB and substrate integration and overall system packaging design
  • Develop and improve assembly processes, including SMT and related manufacturing methods
  • Evaluate and select materials such as adhesives, underfills, encapsulants, and conductive materials
  • Address thermal management challenges and ensure product reliability
  • Support miniaturization and advanced packaging initiatives
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and perform root cause analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement in product performance and manufacturing processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics or semiconductor packaging
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience working directly with customers in a technical setting
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a small, fast-paced environment
  • Must be within commuting distance of Wall Township, NJ

Preferred Experience:

  • Semiconductor or device packaging
  • PCB and substrate integration
  • Thermal management design
  • Interconnects and assembly processes
  • Reliability testing and environmental performance
  • Materials selection for electronic packaging applications
  • SMT or process engineering
  • Miniaturization and heterogeneous integration
  • Advanced packaging technologies such as 2.5D, 3D, chiplets, or flexible or hybrid electronics
