Job Title: Quality Tech

Republic Extrusions/Team Pride Extrusions: Megargel, TX

U.S. Position: Does not qualify for work visa/sponsorship.

Republic Extrusions/Team Pride Extrusions is a leader in providing high-quality aluminum extrusion products and services tailored for various industrial needs.

Summary: We are seeking a full-time Quality Control Technician to perform routine quality inspections and other functions as designated by the Quality Manager and/or procedures. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where attention to detail and precision are key.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  •  Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
  • Identify and report safety concerns to the Quality Manager
  • Identify and report maintenance needs to the Quality Manager
  • Perform and document quality inspections at extrusion press(es) as required by procedure and/or inspection reports.
  • Work with head stretcher at extrusion press(es) to verify dimensional and finish integrity during and after stretch
  • Verify cut lengths at extrusion press saw
  • Work with team members in other departments as needed to respond to quality concerns and issue disposition of product
  • Record non-conforming product in Non-Conforming Product Log
  • Perform routine calibration of measurement equipment and maintain records thereof
  • Schedule outside calibration services as needed
  • Verify material that has been sorted and/or reworked
  • Assist in the determination of root cause and corrective action measures for non-conforming product
  • Maintain a good attendance record
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret profile and fabrication drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Understanding of production processes to help determine causes of non-conformances good communication in a team environment as well as critical thinking skills.
  • Must be goal oriented in order to achieve daily production targets.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Strong quality control background in the aluminum manufacturing industry.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma preferred, 2 years of experience in a quality control role (Required).

Language/Communication Skills:

  • English speaking is required, bilingual is ideal.
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate and work with team members in a bilingual environment (with the use of an interpreter as needed).
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skill
