Overtime: Optional Saturdays | 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Experience Level: 5+ years preferred
Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. (ITAR environment)

Why This Role Exists

Bristol Precision continues to grow its prototype and small-batch aerospace, medical, and scientific programs. There is a need for a prototype mill machinist who can work print-to-part as well as an experienced mill set up machinist.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Set Up Mill Machinist:
    • Set up and run complex CNC milling jobs in a high-mix, tight-tolerance environment
    • Perform first-article and in-process inspections
    • Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding
    • Troubleshoot machining issues to maintain workflow
  • Prototype Mill Machinist
    • Program parts in Mastercam and make edits at the machine as needed
    • Set up and run complex CNC milling jobs in a high-mix, tight-tolerance environment
    • Perform first-article and in-process inspections
    • Select tooling, set offsets, and verify workholding
    • Troubleshoot machining issues to maintain workflow
    • Lead daily workflow for setup machinists and operators
    • Train and mentor team members on setup efficiency and quality standards
    • Coordinate closely with production leadership

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • 5+ years of CNC milling experience
  • Strong setup background (not operator-only)
  • Experience with Haas controls
  • Working knowledge of Mastercam
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
  • Experience holding tight tolerances
  • Strong communication skills and leadership mindset
  • Experience working in an ISO-certified environment

Preferred:

  • 5-axis experience
  • Aerospace or medical industry experience
  • Prior leadership or mentoring experience
