The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to partner cross-functionally with Finance, Real Estate, Legal, and Operations to support growth initiatives. This role plays a key part in minimizing tax risk, optimizing savings, and maintaining full compliance across a multi-state footprint.
Pay Range: $75-80/ hour
What You Will Work On
  • Oversee the preparation, review, and filing of all real and personal property tax returns.
  • Conduct detailed research on property tax laws, emerging regulations, and complex valuation topics.

  • Monitor assessments, manage appeal strategies, and coordinate with external advisors as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with taxing authorities and ensure timely responses to notices, audits, and inquiries.
  • Support financial forecasting, budgeting, and accrual processes related to property taxes.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and support scalable systems for a growing portfolio.

What You Will Bring
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in property tax, often within consulting, corporate, or legal environments.
  • Skills: Proficiency in tax software (PTMS, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Credentials: CMI (Certified Member of the Institute) designation, CPA, or JD is often preferred.

What You Can Expect
  • An inspirational place for you to do your best work, be engaged in meaningful ways, and continually develop the skills, competencies and qualities that set our team apart.
  • Compensation commensurate with your qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market and operational factors.
  • Total Rewards include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Professional Development Program, Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Time (in geographies where legally required).
