Job Summary: Registered Nurse (RN) - Level 3 Trauma Emergency Room

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in our 24 bed, Level 3 Trauma Emergency Room, ranked #2 in Lifepoint Health. As an RN in our ER, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients experiencing a wide range of traumatic injuries and medical emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and critical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and other medical emergencies.

  • Assessment and Triage: Quickly and accurately assess patient conditions, prioritize care based on severity, and initiate appropriate interventions.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

  • Trauma Management: Administer life-saving treatments and interventions for trauma patients, including wound care, medication administration, and emergency resuscitation.

  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure seamless care delivery and positive patient outcomes.

  • Documentation: Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

  • Education and Support: Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.

  • Compliance: Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment for all patients and staff.

Qualifications and Requirements:


Applicants should have a current State of Tennessee or Multi-State Registered Nurse licensure and possess an associate or bachelor's degree or RN Diploma in Nursing.

Required Certifications

  •          BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required to be current upon hire

  •          ACLS & PALS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) - Required within 6 months of employment, if not current upon hire.

  •          TNCC - Preferred

  •          1 year of Emergency Services nursing, AEMT, Paramedic or Military experience - preferred
