Registered Nurse (RN II) - Surgery - Full-Time, Evenings

Work Location: Texas Health Fort Worth 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work Schedule: Full - Time, Evening Shift (36 Hours/Week)

 

Department Highlights:

        Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team

        Fast-Paced, high-volume department averaging 75 surgeries/day

        Level I Trauma Candidate performing high-acuity and intense surgical procedures capable of providing excellent clinical experience to the new hire.

        Robotics, Complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases are the highlight of surgical offerings at THFW

Here's What You Need

Education

        Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing Required

        Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred

Experience

        1 Year Of Experience as a Registered Nurse or the completion of an RN residency program Required

Licenses and Certifications

        Current RN licensure Upon Hire Required

        BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

        ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of Hire Required

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

        Assesses the patient

        Plans the care of the patient

        Intervenes as appropriate

        Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

        Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

        Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

        Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
