Job description

JOB TITLE: Workers Comp Coordinator

The Workers Comp Coordinator works within a department to ensure WC patients are approved and scheduled for visits and procedures. This Coordinator also serves as the main communication between employers, insurance companies, and adjusters

 

Daily Responsibilities:

1. Prepares documents for data entry including billing/charge information

2. Reviews schedules to prepare for WC patients scheduled

3. Communicates between ancillary services and adjusters to ensure all necessary approvals are obtained 

4. Updates patient charts and process documentation of WC patient visits

5. Prints daily reports as needed

6. Assists with patient inquires and account follow- up as necessary

7. Investigates potential issues with works for provide solutions. 

10. Answers correspondence requests regarding pending approvals. 

11. Processes and distributes correspondence 

12. Participates in account analysis

Educational Requirements

  • Must have High School diploma
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Computer Skills, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of EPIC is a plus
