Position Summary:
The Product Manager is responsible for purchasing and managing product lines, specializing in gifts, textiles/bags, or tools. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of four years of buying and/or product management experience, with specific knowledge in their respective product types. Extensive experience in overseas buying is required. The role involves market research, analysis, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the organization's and competitors' product lines. This includes tracking market conditions, price trends, and identifying future market opportunities. The Product Manager will also monitor and evaluate retail trends, produce competitor analysis reports, and develop successful product ranges for inclusion in Logomark's catalog. Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required. This is a position that entails working with hardgood products and non-IT related.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Purchase and manage product lines, specializing in tech, gifts, textiles/bags, or tools.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify market conditions, price trends, and future market opportunities.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's and competitors' product lines.
  • Track market conditions and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Monitor retail trends and evaluate their impact on product offerings.
  • Produce competitor analysis reports to assess strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning.
  • Develop successful product ranges that meet quality standards, competitive prices, and exceed end users' expectations.
  • Utilize extensive experience in overseas buying to source products and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and product quality.
  • Work closely with the catalog team to select and present products for inclusion in Logomark's catalog.
  • Occasionally travel overseas and domestically for sourcing, supplier visits, and industry events.
  • Stay informed about advancements, innovations, and emerging trends within the gifts, textiles/bags, or tools industries.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production.
  • Identify opportunities for product line expansion or diversification based on market research and customer needs.
  • Continuously analyze product performance, marketing strategies, and promotional efforts to make data-driven recommendations for improvements, optimizations, or potential discontinuations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of four years of product buying experience in the retail or promotional industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of specific product types, such as gifts, textiles/bags, or tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including the use of Excel (advanced knowledge preferred).
