Optometrist – Full-Time – Private Practice – La Grande, OR – No Weekends

About the Practice

We are a privately owned, patient-focused optometry practice located in La Grande, OR. Our practice is built on a simple philosophy: put patients first in every decision we make.

With a strong reputation in the community, we serve a diverse rural patient base and continue to grow. You’ll be joining a collaborative team of 3 Optometrists supported by an experienced staff, including technicians and leadership who prioritize efficiency and patient care.

Our office features six exam lanes and a fully equipped on-site optical, allowing for seamless, full-scope patient care.

Schedule
  • Monday–Thursday: 8 AM – 5:00 PM 
  • Friday: 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM 
  • No weekends 
Position Overview

This is a full-scope optometry role where you’ll have the opportunity to practice to the full extent of your license. You’ll provide care to patients of all ages—from infants to geriatric populations—in a setting that values both medical and routine eye care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Comprehensive eye exams 
  • Pediatric eye care 
  • Diagnosis and management of ocular disease 
  • Dry eye treatment 
  • Contact lens fittings, including scleral lenses and RGPs 
  • Medical-based optometry alongside primary care 
  • Provide care based on patient needs—“whatever walks through the door” 

You can expect to see approximately 20–25 patients per day, with support staff helping to maintain efficient workflow.

Technology & Equipment

Our practice is equipped with modern diagnostic tools, including:

  • OCT 
  • Visual field testing 
  • Fundus camera 
  • Autorefractor 
  • A-scan and other specialty testing equipment
