Job Duties
  1. Responsible for developing and managing a team of Purchasing Coordinators.
  2. Manage and oversee that daily operations are being met in the Purchasing Department.
  3. Develop new and efficient ideas ongoing for the Purchasing Department in congruence with the field operations team.
  4. Develop and execute sourcing strategies to reduce cost of erosion control materials.
  5. Manage, negotiate, and communicate all pricing costs with material and service vendors.
  6. Consolidate purchasing across all regions and business units to maximize volume discounts and rebates.
  7. Develop and maintain good working relationships with vendors and the field operations team.
  8. Continuously benchmark pricing across suppliers, regions, and markets.
  9. Identify alternative products, suppliers, and sourcing methods to drive cost savings.
  10. Work with VP, Field Operations and pull reports/complete projects that may be deemed necessary.
  11. Lead high-level negotiations with vendors and suppliers.
  12. Build national relationships with vendors to drive value and working partnerships.
  13. Establish pricing agreements, contracts, and volume-based incentives.
  14. Approve new material and service vendors.
  15. Evaluate supplier performance on cost, quality, availability, and service.
  16. Source new vendors and explore non-traditional procurement channels.
  17. Communicate with the field operations team on status and estimated arrival of shipments.
  18. Eliminate purchasing bottlenecks through visibility and standardized workflows.
  19. Generate and issue Purchase Orders (PO's) in NetSuite from the field's purchase requests and track accordingly to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  20. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  2. Minimum of seven years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management experience.
  3. Minimum of three years managing procurement across multiple operating companies, business units, or geographically dispersed locations is required.
  4. Demonstrated success negotiating national or regional contracts resulting in measurable cost savings.
  5. Experience leading centralized purchasing functions while supporting decentralized field operations.
  6. Experience implementing purchasing controls, supplier performance metrics, and standardized procurement processes.
  7. Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  1. Strong communication skills necessary for both internal communication and communicating with vendors.
  2. Proven negotiation experience with suppliers.
  3. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Programs and Google docs, with NetSuite being an added benefit.

Salary Description
$85 - $95K/ annually
