Job description

Salary: $95k - $120k annually

Who We Are

Come and See exists to invite everyone to encounter Jesus through exceptional storytelling that brings the Bible to life. We are the foundation behind The Chosen the first-ever multi-season series about the life of Jesus which has reached millions around the world with authentic, high-quality storytelling.

Our mission has four objectives: complete all seven seasons of The Chosen, translate the series into 600 languages, make it globally accessible, and keep it forever free so the greatest story ever told can reach the first billion people. We believe excellence isn't vanity; it's our offering. And we do it together, as collaborators in a mission that matters.

This is more than media. It's invitation and we'd love for you to be part of it.

About the Role

Come and See is looking for a Prayer & Spiritual Engagement Lead to lead and expand our prayer network, serving as a spiritual and strategic catalyst for our mission. In this role, you'll provide vision and oversight for the Prayer Crew, cultivating a culture of intercession through events, communications, and storytelling.

You'll work across departments to weave prayer into our organizational strategy, support broader engagement initiatives, and ensure prayer remains at the heart of both our donor relationships and our internal team culture.

You in a nutshell: someone with deep spiritual maturity and a consistent, lived prayer life, who leads with both heart and structure. You're a natural storyteller and connector who can rally a volunteer team, shape meaningful content, and hold space for others in prayer whether that's in a staff meeting, a virtual prayer event, or a one-on-one moment of pastoral care.

What You'll Do

Prayer Network Leadership

  • Recruit, equip, and grow the Prayer Crew team.
  • Lead, strategize, and execute organizational prayer initiatives, including monthly communications (newsletters, announcements, app-based prayer content, SMS, and social media).
  • Maintain and oversee prayer communications, including prayer requests, resources, blogs, and curated social content.
  • Implement and manage interactive prayer opportunities.

Events & Ministry Support

  • Plan and facilitate regular and special prayer events, both in-person and virtual.
  • Provide prayer support during special days, organizational events, and ministry initiatives.
  • Support the Global Ambassador with domestic and international prayer events.

Internal Culture & Staff Care

  • Lead and encourage internal corporate prayer efforts across the organization.
  • Partner with People & Culture to embed prayer and spiritual formation into the staff experience, including onboarding, team meetings, and internal culture initiatives.
  • Provide pastoral prayer support and spiritual care resources for staff, in coordination with People & Culture, during seasons of personal, team, or organizational need.
  • Collaborate with People & Culture on staff-facing spiritual development offerings (e.g., prayer gatherings, devotionals, retreats) that strengthen internal culture and well-being.

Mission Growth & Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing to develop media outreach and campaigns that grow, engage, and deepen prayer supporters into broader involvement.
  • Liaise with organizational leadership and external partners to mobilize prayer.
  • Contribute to organizational strategy and assist with fundraising efforts where appropriate.

What You Need to Succeed

Experience & Education

  • Experience facilitating prayer initiatives and leading teams.
  • Familiarity with digital tools, content creation, and event planning.
  • Education and experience requirements to be confirmed based on final role scope.

Skills & Strengths

  • Deep spiritual maturity and devotion to a consistent prayer life.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with proven leadership ability.
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills.
  • Ability to work remotely with a high degree of independence.
  • Committed to confidentiality and discretion in handling prayer requests.
  • Skilled in networking across churches and ministries to expand prayer engagement.
  • Willingness to sign and uphold the organization's statement of faith.

Nice to Have

  • Passion for Christian ministry and a heart for connecting prayer with mission impact.
  • Experience with digital/social content strategy in a ministry or nonprofit context.

Our Beliefs, Culture & Commitment

At Come and See, every team member is a critical and valuable part of our mission and ministry. We consider ministry readiness and an individual's capacity to represent our culture and Christian beliefs during the selection process for all positions. An essential function of every role is to uphold and represent Jesus in how we live and behave.

While we unite around our mission, we know unity doesn't mean uniformity. Our calling is too great and our mission too important not to be intentional about strengthening our team with people from all backgrounds. We believe that varied perspectives across race, ethnicity, life experience, age, and gender enrich our ability to share the story of Jesus with the world and help everyone, everywhere, experience the authentic Jesus.
