Job description

This position will provide advanced technical expertise across the Microsoft Power Platform suite, translating mission and business requirements into secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions for a large government customer.

Work Location: Completely on-site in Dahlgren, VA.

Basic Required Qualifications and Skills: Note: These are mandatory items that all candidates must have when submitting an application to IMC for this position.   • At start date, possess one of the Microsoft certifications below:
    • PL-100 Power Platform Fundamentals
    • PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst Associate
    • PL-400 Power Platform Developer Associate
    • PL-500 Power Automate RPA Developer Associate
    • PL-900 Power Platform Fundamentals 
  • Be willing to obtain one of these certifications within 90 days of starting position: 
    • AB-410 Intelligent Applications Builder Associate (formerly PL-200)
    • AB-100 Agentic AI Business Solutions Architect Expert (formerly PL-600)
  • Advanced-level experience with: 
    • Architecting, developing, deploying, and sustaining Microsoft Power Platform solutions in an enterprise or government environment.
    • Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power BI, Dataverse, Power Fx, and DAX
  • Experience with:
    • Integrating Power Platform solutions with authorized enterprise data sources and disparate systems.
    • Designing secure, scalable, high-performance solutions in a controlled or secure environment.
    • Developing technical documentation, SOPs, user guides, troubleshooting materials, training content, and leadership briefings.
  • Maintain technical and management certifications as per DoDM 8140.03
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for dealing with diverse military and civilian stakeholders.
  • Successful completion of privileged user account exam.
  • Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • All applicants must have current DoD TS/SCI clearance eligibility day one and prior to entry on duty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: This position will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Serve as the senior technical advisor and subject matter expert for Microsoft Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.
  • Analyze mission requirements, gather stakeholder needs, and recommend secure, scalable, and supportable solution architectures.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power Platform applications, workflows, and data solutions supporting mission operations.
  • Build and manage integrations with approved data sources and implement business logic using Power Fx and related technologies.
  • Develop, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Power Automate cloud and desktop flows, including RPA solutions and legacy-system integrations.
  • Create data models, dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions in Power BI to support operational and leadership decision-making.
  • Apply Power Platform best practices for security, governance, configuration management, testing, deployment, and lifecycle sustainment.
  • Produce technical documentation, including solution designs, standard operating procedures, user guides, and troubleshooting materials.
  • Deliver training, workshops, and briefings to government stakeholders, citizen developers, system administrators, and leadership.
  • Resolve production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement improvements that enhance reliability, performance, and user experience.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, technical teams, and security personnel to ensure successful solution delivery and deployment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable DoD cybersecurity, accessibility, records management, and configuration management requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
