Willow Tree Poultry Farm is seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to help keep our production and retail operations running safely and efficiently. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, solving problems, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment throughout Willow Tree's production, warehouse, retail, and facility operations. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will be willing to learn and work with hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical systems while supporting the company's commitment to safety, quality, customer service, and operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production support needs
  • Utilize FIIX CMMS software to document and track maintenance activities
  • Assist in identifying root causes of equipment failures and recommend solutions
  • Support equipment safety programs and maintain compliance with food safety requirements
  • Maintain open communication with production, quality, and management teams
  • Provide timely updates on equipment performance and repair status
  • Follow all company safety, food safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Support maintenance needs at Willow Tree facilities and company-owned properties
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QualificationsRequired
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and regulations
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues and estimate repair requirements accurately
  • Any required state or federal licenses applicable to the position
Preferred
  • Formal technical training in electronics, industrial maintenance, or a related field
  • Experience with CMMS software systems
  • Experience working in food manufacturing environments

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout production facilities for extended periods
  • Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer environments
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding industrial environment

Schedule
  • Full-Time Position
  • Typical workdays are 8โ€“10 hours
  • Five to six days per week
  • Occasional Saturday work required
  • On-call coverage may be required
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or extended hours when necessary to support production operations
