Overview

The Senior QA Engineer leads test automation and quality assurance efforts across web and mobile projects, designing robust test frameworks, ensuring production quality, and mentoring junior engineers. This role combines deep technical expertise (development, automation, CI/CD, observability) with stakeholder collaboration to deliver reliable, accessible, and performant products.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement and maintain automated test suites and infrastructure for web, mobile and APIs; produce test code and documentation.
  • Translate requirements into acceptance criteria, test scenarios and automated tests; provide continuous validation and fast feedback.
  • Lead crossbrowser, responsive and mobile testing (Appium, ADB, Xcode) and accessibility/UX validation (WCAG, Lighthouse, Axe).
  • Create and run API tests (GET/POST/PUT/DELETE) with Postman or equivalents.
  • Integrate and optimize tests in CI/CD pipelines; monitor production quality and technical KPIs.
  • Perform code reviews, estimate QA effort, and propose technical improvements.
  • Collaborate with UX, UI, Dev, DevOps and PMs; adapt technical communication for different audiences.
  • Mentor and onboard junior QA engineers; contribute to hiring, CoPs, workshops and commercial proposals.
  • Promote QA best practices and complete required training and professional development.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years QA/automation experience.
  • Strong programming skills in a primary language (JavaScript or Java) and experience with automation frameworks (Selenium, WebdriverIO, Playwright, Robot Framework, etc.).
  • Deep mobile testing expertise (iOS/Android, Appium, debugging tools) and strong crossbrowser testing experience.
  • Strong UX/UI and accessibility testing knowledge (WCAG, Lighthouse, Axe).
  • Strong API testing skills (CRUD) with Postman or similar tools.
  • Broad technical culture covering CI/CD, observability/monitoring and multiple domains (frontend, backend, QA, DevOps, data).
  • Proven experience in test architecture, code reviews, CI/CD integration and KPI tracking.
  • ISTQB Foundation certification required; obtain an advanced certification every two years (e.g., ISTQB Advanced, Postman, Playwright, Selenium).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills; organized, proactive and curious.
  • Fluent in French and English (read, speak, write).
  • Willingness to attend QA events, complete internal training and support agency knowledge initiatives.
