Job Title: Marina Housekeeping                              Department: Housekeeping Staff
Reports to:  General Manager                                  Position: Housekeeping Staff
Work Hours: 8am – 2am; Approx. 15-37 hrs./wk.     Salary: $15/hr.
Full time and Part time hours available (Must be able to work weekends)

Job Summary:
We are Detroit area Marinas looking for seasonal part time housekeepers to provide a high level of customer service to dock residents and guests in accordance with established guest service and marine time standards. They are responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the marinas and events as scheduled.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
·       None.  
 
Duties/Responsibilities: Assisting Machine Operators with:
 
·       Sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors
·       Vacuum carpets, rugs, draperies
·       Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery
·       Dust and polish furniture and fittings
·       Clean metal fixtures and fittings
·       Tidy rooms and wipe down glass surfaces
·       Clean restrooms, pool area and locker rooms
·       Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
·       Wash windows as scheduled
·       Empty and clean trash containers; dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
·       Clean boat docks, parking lots, and marina public areas
·       Maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
·       Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
·       Ability to travel between Marinas via company provided vehicles
·       Provide support to banquet hall and outdoor events as assigned
·       Perform other duties as assigned
 
 
 
Required Skills/Abilities: 
·       Ability to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends
·       Must have a Valid Driver’s License
·       Must be able to communicate quickly and effectively
·       Ability to handle equipment and vehicles safely and sensibly
·       Must be self-directed
 
Education and Experience:
·       Valid Driver’s License required
·       Housekeeping/Janitorial experience of 1 year preferred
 
Physical Requirements: 
·       Ability to maintain single-task focus and situational awareness.
·       Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and walk for extended periods of time
·       Ability to lift 50 lbs./more
