Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Project Management

  • Supports teams and department managers in the implementation and deployment of organizational initiatives.
  • Share project information with key stakeholders for decision-making.
  • Execute and monitor sample qualifications for existing and new raw material, NPD, and EPI projects through Smartsheet.
  • Assists in the rollout of existing and new products and product creation project tracking and ensures that project risks are identified. Works with cross-functional teams to ensure the project timeline is achieved.
  • Assist in the Sample Qualification process and implement continuous improvement in Sourcing and Supply Chain.
  • Manage Phase-In/Phase-out change controls between SC and R&D.
  • Manage Insourcing and Outsourcing projects for in-house made items.
  • Support Supply Chain and resolve issues after they impact operations or disruptions in the supply of critical materials.
  • Works with Legal to execute MNDA and TLA.
  • Works with Accounting/Finance in onboarding new suppliers.
  • Complies with safety and GMP requirements.

Systems & Reporting

  • Proficient in Smartsheet, Oracle, and Power BI.
  • Assist in data governance in Smartsheet for Sourcing Request, Master Sourcing File, and Contract Manufacturing, and/or any new tracker.
  • Identifies opportunities for enhancing current systems or reports or utilizing new functionality in Supply Chain.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the Supply Chain process and identify technology to enhance supply chain performance.
  • Assists with the preparation of weekly and monthly reports and develops key performance indicators to measure supply chain performance.

SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY STATEMENT

Supports a culture of safe production and operations; follows all safety rules and procedures. Actively participates in the safety program by engaging in training activities to learn what constitutes a safety hazard; reporting safety concerns to the supervisor, submitting safety suggestions, and correcting or reporting to the appropriate people when an employee sees a workplace health or safety hazard, until it is resolved. Assists with communicating safety information to new employees. Fulfills responsibilities as outlined in the company safety management plan.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or professional certification; or 7-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to use the metric system.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Negotiating ability, the ability to work with suppliers to create the best deals.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Excellent computer skills, primarily with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word) and Smartsheet. Prior experience with Oracle or other ERP systems is highly desirable. Good attention to detail skills are required. Promotes teamwork, maintains a positive attitude, and demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to change tasks and help where needed in a fast-paced environment.
