Job description

Our Production Technician I – Formulation plays a vital role in ensuring the highest quality and safety standards of our pharmaceutical product.  Once you complete our training, your responsibilities will include supporting daily manufacturing activities for non-sterile and sterile bulk/CSP operations.  Your attention to detail and adherence to precise procedures will guarantee that our medications meet the highest standards of safety, efficacy, and quality, providing patients with the best possible care and outcomes. This is a full-time role for our 2nd shift, working Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM CST. This is a set, consistent schedule with minimum overtime requirements and based on site in our Sugar Land, TX location.  This is a safety sensitive position that may be subject to random drug testing, in accordance with applicable laws.

 What the Production Technician I – Formulation Does Each Day:

  • Weighing of chemicals to support product formulation
  • Formulation of bulk intermediate solutions
  • Sterile filter integrity testing
  • Clean Room cleaning and disinfection
  • Perform equipment calibration checks
  • Daily Supply list for respective area turned into receiving by scheduled time
  •  Open/close Formulation pods and ILP in accordance with work instructions and daily task lists

Minimum Requirements for this Role:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent
  • Able to successfully complete a drug and background check
  • Familiarity with and comfortable using mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, handhelds
  • Able and willing to walk, stoop, stand, bend, and lift throughout each shift, with or without accommodation
  • 18+ years of age
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; QuVa will not sponsor applicants for work visas
  • Requires extensive training and qualification including but not limited to: gown training; aseptic technique; competency assessments; direct observation; and media fill qualification for each compounding process
  • Strong math skills

 Any of the Following Will Give You an Edge:

  • College Degree with an emphasis in Chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent
  • 1 year of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs and regulatory requirements as well as all applicable SOPs
