Fitness Together Columbia is looking for an exceptional Personal trainer to join our team of highly educated & motivated fitness experts.

Unlike traditional big box gyms and personal training studios, Fitness Together provides a holistic, prescriptive approach that incorporates resistance training, cardiovascular training and nutrition counseling.

Our Team of Fitness Experts sole responsibility is to focus on the clients, their experience and their results. Our experts are not responsible for sales.

If you're a fitness pro with a passion for empowering others to live a happier and healthier life but struggle to fit into big box health clubs, franchise gyms, or are tired of working the long hours as an independent contractor, Fitness Together has an amazing opportunity for you to grow!

Fitness Together Personal Trainers take pride in their work by providing an exceptional client experience that leaves a lasting impact. They empower commitment by holding clients accountable to their goals and constantly go above and beyond to encourage progress over perfection.

As a Fitness Together Personal Trainer, you will need to be available to work the following shift consistently:

  • Monday - Thursday: 1:00pm - 9:00pmย 
  • Friday OR Saturday: 6:00am - 3:00pm (*Two Fridays are scheduled per month, and two Saturdays are scheduled per month)
  • Sundays: OFF

Personal Trainer Responsibilities:

  • Design safe and effective programs, accommodating the unique needs/goals of clients
  • Educate and empower clients, so that they are motivated to stay committed to their plan inside and outside of the studio
  • Bring a positive attitude and show regular appreciation to clients and teammates every day
  • Create unique, memorable and personal experiences for clients that make Fitness Together customers clients for life
  • Interact with clients and team members without judgement, and express empathy for those around you
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration to meet the needs of those around you
  • Represent yourself professionally through your appearance, language, and behavior
  • Always maintain a space of cleanliness and ensure a safe and accident-free environment
  • Constantly look for ways to improve your skills to grow as an expert in your field
  • Represent yourself professionally through your appearance, language and behavior

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred but not required
  • One year of personal training and program design experience
  • ACSM, NASM, or ACE Personal Training Certification
  • Be available to work a full 8 hour shift 5 days/wk
  • Understanding of injury prevention/management
  • Experience & success working with special populations
  • CPR/AED and First Aid Certification
  • Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
  • Ability to collaborate and thrive in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to each client's individual needs
  • Must have the emotional stamina to be "at your best" with each client
  • Ability to motivate and coach clients to ensure continuous commitment
