Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) / Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP – Pediatrics Experience Preferred)
Private Practice | Full-Time

We are a growing private pediatric practice seeking a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP). Qualified Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) with pediatric experience will also be considered.

Practice Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner will assess, screen, evaluate, and diagnose patients from birth through young adulthood, providing a full spectrum of primary care services. This role includes developing and implementing comprehensive treatment plans using both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches, as well as providing patient and family education and coordinating referrals when appropriate.

The ideal candidate is committed to delivering high-quality, family-centered care, fostering strong patient relationships, and demonstrating cultural competence in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and evaluate/treat pediatric patients in an outpatient setting

  • Manage follow-up visits, acute and chronic conditions, same-day appointments, and new patient evaluations

  • Practice independently while making sound clinical decisions and developing appropriate treatment plans

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., laboratory work, imaging)

  • Monitor patient progress and coordinate referrals to physicians or specialists as needed

  • Collaborate with supervising physician and clinical staff to ensure continuity and quality of care

  • Maintain a professional, compassionate demeanor and commitment to ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Nursing

  • Certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP preferred) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with pediatric experience

  • Current, active Florida APRN license

  • National certification (ANCC, PNCB, NCCPA, or equivalent)

  • Ability to pass professional reference checks, background screening, and pre-employment drug screening

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience caring for patients from newborn through 18 years of age in a pediatric or family practice setting

Schedule

  • Full-time

  • Monday to Friday

  • 8-hour shifts

  • Rotating on-call responsibilities
