Were looking for an experienced, compassionate and self-starting Dental Assistant to join our rapidly growing team. Necessary Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience in a full-time Dental Assistant capacity, having developed an ease of chairside assistance and back office support
  • Active Dental Assistant certification in the state of NY
  • Comfortable taking X-rays, making temporaries, impressions, and removing sutures
  • General understanding of standard dental software, including Dexis and Eaglesoft
  • Excellent communicator - must be fluent in both English and Spanish
  • A self-starting team player - youre there to help when needed, but also own your work without direct supervision
Preferred Qualifications

  • Active Dental Assistant certification in NJ
  • X-ray certification in NY and/or NJ
  • Conversant in French Creole
Accountabilities

  • End-to-end chairside assistance, from pre-op prep to post-op clean up
  • Professional and compassionate patient management - understanding the different needs of our patient community and responding to their inquiries with compassion
  • Imparting in patients a deeper care for their oral health - by offering at-home instructions or recommending procedures that would benefit the patient (i.e. invisalign, whitenings)
  • Taking x-rays
  • Making temporaries and taking impressions
  • Removing sutures
  • Keeping our office spotless - understanding standard sterilization and cleansing procedures and executing them without oversight
  • Manage back-office patient flow to ensure were seeing patients as efficiently and effectively as possible
  • Stock management, ensuring all operatories are fully stocked and orders are placed to suppliers in a timely manner
  • Entering of procedure codes and chart notes into our software for doctors, when the need arises
